When students take initiative, great things happen.
Corbin Drum, a DCHS junior, sent a message to a TikToker from Guilford County with a simple idea: to help start Battle of the Books. The response? Incredible support from all over.
Thanks to people across the country, and even internationally, our wishlist took off. We now have 126 books ready to kick off our chapter.
Support came in from places like Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, California, Indiana, Minnesota, Washington, Pennsylvania, and the UK.
These students are excited to begin, and we’re proud to support them. Any DCHS student is welcome to join Battle of the Books by contacting Mrs. Koontz.
