Career Exploration
Davie County Schools utilizes Major Clarity to help students explore and plan for a variety of career and educational options. Students can login using their Go Davie (Google choice outlined in red) email address. The Assessment section enables students to discover their Holland codes (RIASEC). These codes are universally known and can help students identify careers that align with their interests both within the Major Clarity platform and on other career planning websites.
North Carolina Careers website offers six career related assessments that can help students identify a career that aligns with their interests, values, and skills. Career information is specific to North Carolina. Students can save their results by activating or creating an account on CFNC.org. Students need to use their lunch/PowerSchool numbers as their username to prevent duplicate accounts as some students may have already created accounts in the past. Duplicate accounts cause problems during the senior year as this account will also be used to apply for in-state residency at the public community colleges and universities.
